*You may have seen ads like this too. Two smiling, well-dressed young foreign women warmly invite you to “come to church this Sunday,” or add them as friends to learn English for free.*

千万别以为这只是普通的美女网红，仔细看她们胸前的黑色胸牌——这其实是摩门教极其精准的“网络传教算法”。

*Do not assume they are just ordinary social-media influencers. Look carefully at the black name tags on their chests—this is actually part of a highly targeted Mormon online missionary strategy.*

从之前两位会说流利中国话的年轻外国帅哥，到如今两位长相可人的美女，摩门教，只是枪口转向算法！转向了大数据，转向了精确喂投。

*From two handsome young foreign men who spoke fluent Chinese to two attractive young women today, Mormon missionary outreach has simply shifted its focus to algorithms, big data, and targeted content delivery.*

在过去，摩门教传教士主要靠穿西装、骑自行车挨家挨户敲门。但随着互联网时代到来，传统的敲门越来越不管用，教会便把传教战场转移到了 TikTok、YouTube、Facebook,等网络平台。

*In the past, Mormon missionaries mainly wore suits, rode bicycles, and knocked on doors from house to house. But as the internet age arrived, traditional door-to-door outreach became less effective, so their missionary work moved onto online platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook.*

他们专门挑选形象亲和、年轻靓丽的女性传教士，也就是所谓的“姐妹传教士”（Sister Missionaries），录制生活化、温情风的短视频。通过投放精准广告，把目标锁定在异国他乡、性格内向，或者正处于孤独、焦虑中的年轻人。

*They choose friendly-looking, young female missionaries, known as “Sister Missionaries,” to make warm, everyday-style short videos. Through targeted advertising, they can reach young people who are living far from home, are introverted, or are experiencing loneliness or anxiety.*

这种自称基督教，以及“美女营销”背后，其实是一套成熟的心理操纵机制。

*Behind this claim of being Christian and this kind of “beauty marketing,” there is, in my view, a well-developed system of psychological influence.*

首先，它极大降低了人们的戒备心。基督教大家都听过，第一位信任完成。其次，甜美的笑容和亲切的问候，让人很难联想到那些严肃甚至沉重的教义。

*First, it greatly lowers people's defenses. Most people have heard of Christianity, so an initial level of trust is created. Second, sweet smiles and friendly greetings make it difficult to connect the invitation with serious or demanding doctrines.*

然后，它巧妙地利用了“情感代偿”。许多独自生活或海外留学的年轻人渴望社交和关注，看到这种主动关怀的视频，很容易出于好奇或好感点击联系，从而一步步被引入他们的线下聚会和查经班。

*When you meet this kind of overly enthusiastic invitation online, it is better to stay rational and careful than to act only out of curiosity.*
